      [Zhao Xiaodong] Coatings has a development process, and the society, including professionals in our industry, also has a process of understanding the hazards of various organic solvents. For example, 30 years ago, everyone did not have a very clear understanding of the hazards of organic solvents. With the development of science, it is now scientifically recognized that organic solvents, especially those containing benzene rings, are harmful to humans and the environment It also has an impact. Therefore, the consensus is to gradually reduce the volatilization of organic solvents. This is the general trend in the development of coatings.

  As far as China is concerned, there is still a certain gap with the world. Coatings are divided into two categories, one is architectural coatings and the other is industrial coatings. The degree of water-based coatings used in construction in Western countries has reached more than 90%, and in China, it has reached about 80%, which is a certain gap. For industrial coatings, it has reached 50% in Western countries, while only about 10% in China. This gap is very large. Therefore, China is now issuing relevant policies on environmental pollution and environmental governance at the national and provincial and municipal levels. A large part of these policies is to limit the volatilization of organic solvents. One of the most important means and approaches is to replace solvent-based products with water-based products.

Recently, the country has generally reduced smog, and the whole society has paid special attention to the development of green products. As one of the representatives of green products, the water-based paint industry has gradually begun to recover under the recent intensive environmental protection policies, showing a "spring is full". .

      As a green and environmentally friendly coating product emerging in recent years, water-based coatings mainly use water as a diluent. Compared with traditional solvent-based coatings, harmful substances such as formaldehyde and aromatic hydrocarbons are greatly reduced. It is water and will not pollute the environment. It is an environmentally friendly product, which greatly reduces VOC emissions. The various advantages shown by water-based paint have made it favored by the government and consumers. Coating companies are taking advantage of the policy to speed up the layout of water-based paint production capacity. Therefore, water-based paint is the general direction of the industry's development.
